Take a walk on the haunted side and visit Nevada City’s ghosts

Actor and playwright Mark Lyon is at it again – leading folks on a walking tour through historic Nevada City and through a combination of storytelling and street theater, recounting colorful tales of those who are said to still haunt the environs.

Lyon, once a student and teacher of the paranormal, is a collector of true ghost stories. He also has pursued a master’s degree in theater. Putting all that together, he ended up performing one-man plays across Canada and abroad and appearing in film, television and on radio. He has been leading Haunted Nevada City for some years now, constantly injecting new stories as he hears about them.

Says Lyon, “I long ago abandoned any attempt to stick to a set script; this keeps the tour fresh for my audience and highly enjoyable for me.”

In October, Lyon’s first book, “San Francisco Ghosts,” will be published.
