Take a vacation, help protect the Yuba SYRCL auction celebrates silver anniversary

More that 500 items, services, getaways and adventures will be up for grabs at the South Yuba River Citizens League annual auction and river celebration Saturday

The event also honors the league’s silver anniversary.

The event starts at 6 p.m. Saturday with a silent auction and continues with a live auction at 8 p.m., free hors d’oeuvres by Jim E, desserts by local bakers and music and dancing to The Power of 12.

Auction items include a country cottage vacation in France, a week in Mazatlan, a hot springs getaway, fine wine, meals at local restaurants, gift certificates from local stores, local artwork and photography, rafting trips, bodywork and a cocktail cruise.

It’s at Miners Foundry Cultural Center, 325 Spring St., downtown Nevada City.

Ticket are $15 in advance at The Book Seller and BriarPatch, in Grass Valley; and at the SYRCL office, 216 Main St., in Nevada City.

SYRCL members are just $12 at the SYRCL office. Tickets at the door are $15 for all. Auction donors get in free. For more information, to volunteer or to donate items or services, call 265-5961 x201.
