Take a ‘journey into wellness’ at upcoming festival

SPIRITfest V, “A Journey into Wellness,” is taking place Friday at Miners Foundry in Nevada City and includes a benefit concert all evening and dinner, served from 6-9.

Shawn and Tarney Haussler play from 6-7:30 p.m.; folk and blues artist, Chris Earley, starts at 7:45 and the Latin rhythms band, Sabroso, closes out the evening, 9-11 p.m.

The purpose of the evening is to expand peer counseling services at the SPIRIT Peer Empowerment Center in Grass Valley.



Advance tickets for $30 may be purchased at Briar Patch Market, The Book Seller, Harmony Books, and SPIRIT Center; it’s $35 at the door. Children under 12 are free and teens are half price when accompanied by an adult.
