A woman drove her sports utility vehicle through the front of the Launderland coin laundry Sunday evening. Even though there were several customers inside at the time, no one was hurt, said owner Patrick Speer.

The incident occurred about 6:15 p.m. at the business, which is next to Ralph’s supermarket in the Brunswick Basin in Grass Valley.

Speer said a Chevrolet Blazer driven by an elderly woman jumped a curb and crashed through the coin laundry’s glass front.

“She took out about 20 feet of storefront,” Speer said. “It was just a mess.”

Speer said authorities were at the business until about midnight cleaning up debris.

“I’m just glad no one was hurt,” he said. “We are still open.”
