Susan Wiens

Memorial services for Susan Brittan Wiens of Tucson, Ariz., were conducted Sunday, Jan. 11.

Mrs. Wiens died Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Tucson. She was 43.

She was born Jan. 27, 1960, in Auburn. She was raised in Nevada City and graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1978. She graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1982, and received her teaching credential from the University of Phoenix in 1998. She was an elementary school teacher in the Tucson area.



She is survived by her husband of 21 years, John Wiens of Tucson; son, Grant of Tucson; father, Lynn Brittan of Sebastapol; sister, Dale Durniak of Chico. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nanette Brittan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nash Elementary School. The “Susan Wiens Memorial Fund” will be administered by St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 1431 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704.
