Sunday Market can help people ‘make ends meet’

After reading your latest on the Sunday Market in Nevada City, I was moved to give my opinion. Nevada County is and always has been a “poor” county. We all are struggling in our Bush-era economy, and we all can use a few extra bucks with prices rising as we speak.

If the market brings more people to town, they still will look around downtown, and people will buy what is a bargain in these tough times, from a book store or a garage sale.

So, I think those opposed to the Sunday Market should stop whining so much, and try to think about everyone else who is struggling to make ends meet. Nevada County residents have always helped each other out; not be greedy like those “down the hill.”
