Summer fun continues at Cooper’s

After this Wednesday’s (July 18) Summer Nights in Nevada City, Grass Roots Record Company invites everyone to continue the merriment at Cooper’s Ale Works, 235 Commercial St. This after party includes Arcata’s Trash and Roll, left, with their 12-string guitars, playing tracks from their latest release, “Tripped Gypsy,” featuring laid-back grooves ala the Byrds and the Animals. Also playing is Nevada City’s famed duo, The Freeman Rebels, whose explosive show can result in broken things (drum sticks, equipment, bones??). John Cardiel, legendary skateboarder formerly of Nevada County, will spin reggae and dance hall music between band sets. Cover is $6.
