Sue Horne does not ‘cave’

Having personally known Sue Horne for more than 12 years, I was dumbfounded when I read the article in the Sept. 27 edition of The Union alleging that she and Supervisor Nate Beason “caved” to Nevada City liberal interests.

Had the accusations been that Sue is ultra-conservative, the rhetoric might have been convincing. However, insinuating that she “sold out” to liberal interests is downright laughable.

Anyone who knows Sue will tell you that “caving” and “selling out” are not in her vocabulary. I am alarmed by the lengths some candidates in this race for the Assembly will go to deceive the voters. Sue Horne is exactly what she says – a conservative Republican with the desire to serve and improve our community. Please, do not be misled by other who are not exactly what they seem and who desire to discredit the real deal.
