Stevens is the right choice

I don’t reside in Grass Valley and I cannot vote for a new supervisor. However, for eight years I served as a volunteer for the Grass Valley Police Department.

During that time I got to know many of the residents and became acquainted with many of the elected representatives that passed through city hall, and that included Linda Stevens. I would have to say she was one of the best.

Linda is one of those individuals that always had a smile or a hug for you and something nice to stay that could often make your day. I think part of what sets her apart from many others serving in government is that she simply seems herself as “one of us.”

Issues are important, but who you are and how you conduct yourself is just as important. Right now the Board of Supervisors is a mess. They accomplish very little. They can’t seem to be civil to each other, let alone the public. I know if Linda Stevens is elected the county might see a breath of fresh mountain air.

I urge the people of District 3 to consider and vote for what I call a true “public servant.”
