Steve French

A private celebration of life for Steve D. French of Grass Valley will be conducted. Burial will be at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mr. French died Wednesday, July 24, in Grass Valley. He was 46.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1956, in Bangor, Maine, to Gladys Lunn and Maurice French. He graduated from San Jose High School.



He was a licensed painting contractor.

He is survived by his daughters Heather and Tiffany of Grass Valley; mother and stepfather, Gladys and Wes Prather of Grass Valley; former wife, Renee of Grass Valley; stepbrothers Jeffery and Mark Prather; and nephews Lance, Adam and Shaan French, all of California.




He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice French; and brother, Daniel French.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
