Rossi becomes ambassador for TAG Heuer
September 1, 2016
TAG Heuer, a world leader in prestigious and sporting chronographs, announced the addition of IndyCar driver Alexander Rossi to the TAG Heuer family of ambassadors.
Rossi, a Nevada City native, and TAG Heuer first met in May of 2016 after Rossi's victory at the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, where he was presented with the TAG Heuer F1 Indy 500 Special Edition watch.
Before winning the prestigious Verizon IndyCar Series event as a rookie, Rossi raced in Formula 1, making history by being the first American to race at a home event at COTA, Texas, as well as being one of the youngest drivers to hold a Formula 1 Super License at just 18 years old. His professionalism, perseverance and diligence in the sport make Rossi the perfect embodiment of the motto "Don't Crack Under Pressure" and a unique young talent to the TAG Heuer family.
"I'm honored to partner with TAG Heuer and become part of the family; TAG Heuer is a legacy brand and with great history in motorsport; there is great synergy in our focus and pursuit of perfection," Rossi said. "The timing is ideal and a perfect alignment of brands, and I look forward to a great future as a TAG Heuer brand ambassador."
Since 1860, TAG Heuer has thrived in the world of auto racing as a luxury sport brand by producing chronographs with impeccable movements, which guarantee precision despite extreme conditions. TAG Heuer timepieces find kinship with Rossi as he is required to maintain accuracy and concentration in a fast paced and competitive environment. TAG Heuer has always stood at the forefront of the industry and is honored to welcome Rossi as a brand ambassador.
"Together we will continue to set milestones", said Killian Muller, President of Tag Heuer USA, "Alexander made history by winning the 100th run of Indy 500 and we are so happy to welcome him into our family."
