Nevada Union girls soccer set to host Miner Classic

The Nevada Union girls soccer team will be hosting the first Miner Classic Tournament over the next two weekends.

The tournament is intended to raise money for the girls soccer program to pay for coaches and trainers, uniforms, and referees for all our home games. The Tournament is still seeking sponsors for the program. Sponsors can contact head coach Joseph Breault at jbreault@njuhsd.com.

The varsity girls tournament will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Nevada Union's Hooper Stadium. The junior varsity tournament will be Dec. 8-9.

Participating schools include Nevada Union, Colfax, Sutter, Placer, Oakmont, Yuba City, Kennedy and Las Plumas.

Tournament sponsors include: Chevron at McKnight, BriarPatch Food COOP,

Esthetic Restorative Dentistry, Round Table Pizza, B and C True Value, SPD Markets, Safeway and SRC Party Rental.
