Sponsored obituary: Russell David Jeffers

A construction accident took the life of Russell Jeffers, age 23, of Grass Valley on Friday, February 24. Russell is the son of Claudia Jeffers and the late Dave Jeffers, and is survived by brothers Marshall and Sam Jeffers, sister Claire Jeffers, Grandmother Rosalie Jeffers of Florida and his love and steady girlfriend, Tiffany Dorris.

Born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Russell’s family moved to Grass Valley when he was five years old. He graduated from Bear River High School where he excelled in baseball. He is remembered as a conscientious hard worker, always willing to help others, and an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing and hunting with friends, and riding his dirt bike.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Love Building at Condon Park, Grass Valley. The family prefers remembrances of simple garden bouquets or contributions to Ducks Unlimited, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or the charity of your choice.
