Spencer and Beason

I’ve met Nate Beason and John Spencer and feel they are the best-suited candidates to represent their districts.

Nate and John are experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated to serving all Nevada County residents. Their conservative/moderate values include less bureaucracy, protecting private property rights, preserving our rural way of life in a balanced manner and exercising fiscal awareness.

Olivia Diaz, selected by Peter Van Zant and reportedly endorsed by SYRCL and the RQC, supports federal Wild and Scenic (FW&S) designation for the Yuba River which would add bureaucracy and impose more restrictions on private property. Linda Stevens doesn’t commit to a position on FW&S ” could taking a position now cost votes?

Bruce Conklin’s apparent conflict of interest in the Land Trust situation makes one question the ethics. California loggers operate under the strictest regulations of any state. However, when Conklin was a supervisor, he submitted a letter to Governor Davis requesting that county boards of supervisors be given authority to review and appeal state-approved logging harvest plans … hmmm.

Supervisors are assumed to be nonpartisan. However, liberal philosophies could bring about resurrection of NH2020, more stringent logging restrictions, FW&S designation, more bureaucracy, etc.

Vote for Beason and Spencer!
