Sound and Vision Festival returns

The Nevada County Composers Cooperative’s second annual Sound & Vision Festival returns to Magic Theatre on Feb. 7 through Feb. 9.

Festival performances feature interactive work between visual artists (hand-drawn and computer-assisted video art) combined with live and prerecorded sound-music compositions.

Artist/Composer-Performer teams include Cassandra Wahlstrom and W. Jay Sydeman, Menlo McFarlane and Mikail Graham, P.J. Kolachovsky and Ludi Hinrichs, and Edward Lear and David Dvorin.



Admission is $10 to each performance. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, and 3 p.m. Feb. 9.

Magic Theatre is at 107 Argall Way, Nevada City.

More than 40 Californian artists and art dealers will have works displayed at the next Nevada City ARTwalk on Feb. 9.

ARTwalk hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Included at Miners Foundry Cultural Center will be art by late Nevada City resident Tyler Micoleau.
