Six area women to read their work at Sunday Salon

Jason’s Studio Cafe is becoming a hot new spot in Grass Valley for functions. Hospitality House had a wine tasting benefit there recently. Now there’s a Sunday Salon featuring women, especially timely as March is Women’s History Month.

At the Sunday Salon, six women are scheduled to read their original work from 2 to 4 p.m. on March 19; they are Karla Arens, Lea Barrow, Judy Crowe, Gail Entrekin, Patricia Miller and Ronnie Paul. Organizers plan to hold the Sunday Salon around the beginning of each new season; this one celebrates the Spring Equinox. Go online at http://www.artmatters-ncac.org for more on women writers.

Refreshments, including wine, will be served; because of the liquor license, attendees must be 21 years of age or older. The event is free. Jason’s can be accessed through Booktown or directly from South Auburn Street (the actual address is 134 S. Auburn) in Grass Valley. The cafe phone number is 273-7056.
