Silver Screen Classic Movie Series continues on Nov. 2, with the 1925 classic, “The Freshman.” Convinced he’s hip and charismatic, college freshman (Harold Lloyd) will do anything to be popular at Tate College. He thinks he’s the “bee’s knees,” and he tries too hard. A silent film with live piano music, showtimes are 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Beecher Room of the Auburn Library, located at 350 Nevada St. in Auburn. Presented by the Library, the movie is free. For information, call 530-878-7938 or visit http://www.auburnsilverscreen.com. The next Silver Screen presentation, “A Slight Case of Murder,” is scheduled for Jan. 4.
