Sierra Starr tasting room celebrates 1 year

Sierra Starr Vineyard & Winery celebrates its downtown Grass Valley wine tasting room’s first anniversary Friday and Saturday with wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and recitals.

The complimentary wine tasting/hors d’oeuvres is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Violinist Sonja Harasim and trombonist Eric Starr will play between 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and between 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Starr, a Music in the Mountains Young Musicians Competition winner in 1998, is the son of Sierra Starr owners Anne and Phil Starr.



Sierra Starr Vineyards and Winery produces Nevada County estate-grown Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Grass Valley wine tasting room is open Wednesdays through Mondays from noon to 5 p.m.
