Sierra College Choir presents fall concert

Choir aficionados, listen up. The Nevada County campus of Sierra College, under the direction of Ken Hardin, presents a concert Friday that includes selections as varied as “Agnus Dei” to “Love is All You Need – a Tribute to the Beatles.”

This is the school’s free offering to the community, although those of us who think they’re great will donate to their music library.

Mary Anne Davis, a longtime choir member, says “I look forward to choir class each week. It relaxes me, and takes my mind off of everything else going on in my life. The music is fun, and the camaraderie is great. If I didn’t have the opportunity to sing, I’d be miserable.”

This concert might even encourage some audience members to sign up for Hardin’s class.

The concert is Oct. 27, 7:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church of Grass Valley, 236 S. Church St.
