Showers possible Saturday for Nevada County

Dry Nevada County could get a wet break Saturday as a building weather system moves in from the Pacific Ocean.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento is predicting cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of showers after 11 a.m. Saturday, with a possibility of thundershowers through the night. Winds from the south and southeast will be up to 10 mph, with daytime highs in the 60s dropping to a low around 47 Saturday night.

Once that front moves through, partly cloudy skies will return Sunday with highs in the low 60s. Skies will be mostly clear by Sunday night, with lows in the mid-40s.

Monday will bring back sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s, with milder weather expected the rest of the week. There is a chance of rain Tuesday night.
