Shop, eat and learn at ‘A Day for Women’

Soroptimist International of Grass Valley is presenting its 14th “A Day For Women” that includes speakers, workshops, lunch and shopping opportunities.

Keynote speaker is Hollie Grimaldi-Flores, business owner and news anchor/reporter at KNCO Newstalk 830. Her topic is “What Do You Want From Life?” She will offer tips on pursuing one’s dreams and making time for oneself in the busy world in which we live. Her informal style and humorous delivery will have you revved up for a day of learning, fun, camaraderie, fashion, food and shopping.

Grimaldi-Flores says, “A Day For Women is a great opportunity for women in our community to take one day for themselves. In one day, they can reconnect with friends, learn a little something about a topic of interest, and rejuvenate. Similar workshops in our area are $199 and up, so this is not only a wonderful day for a great cause, it’s a great value, as well.”

Lunch includes a fashion show. The day also includes vendors, door prizes, and a raffle.

All proceeds from the event will fund Soroptimist International Service Projects. These projects include the KARE Crisis Nursery, Women Reaching Out, DVSAC, youth groups and scholarships.
