Shirley Lange

Shirley M. Lange, a former 27-year resident of Alta Sierra, died Feb. 24 in Sacramento. She was 83.

A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at Paulette’s Country Kitchen in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Lange was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Denver, Colo., to Ernest E. Brown and Helen B. (Brown) Edwards. She received her associates of arts degree as a dietitian. She married T.F. Lange on Sept. 14, 1968.



Mrs. Lange was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a volunteer Pink Lady at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, a member of the Elks Auxiliary and a former member of the Alta Sierra Country Club. She enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Mrs. Lange is survived by one sister; one brother; one child; one daughter-in-law; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; five nieces and three nephews.




She was preceded in death by her husband, T.F. Lange.

Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
