Shirley Blakley

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, for Shirley Lillian Blakley. Mrs. Blakley passed away Sept. 24 in Grass Valley. She was 70.

Mrs. Blakley was born March 28, 1937, to Lempi (Karjalainen) Polo and August Polo in South Dakota. She graduated from San Leandro High School.

Mrs. Blakley married Lester Blakley on Sept. 3, 1983, in Grass Valley.



She was a homemaker who loved sports, especially baseball, and who enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Blakley is survived by her husband, Lester Blakley of Grass Valley; daughters Vickie Keifer of Grass Valley, Timbler Menhams of Grass Valley, Ginger Storlli of Fresno and Maranda Tompei of Grass Valley; stepchildren David Blakley of Grass Valley, Donald Blakley of Grass Valley, Jeffery Blakley of Fresno and Sheri Jackson of Livermore; and many good friends.




She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
