Sheila Eden

Sheila T. Eden died Oct. 16, 2007, at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville. She was 69.

A memorial service was held Oct. 20 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Yuba City. A private inurnment also was held.

Mrs. Eden was born in Santa Monica and was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 30 years. She taught at Lincrest Elementary School in Yuba City for 20 years. She married Edward F. Eden, who was born in Grass Valley.



Mrs. Eden was a member of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Retired Teachers Association, Delta Zeta Sorority, Fresno State University Alumni and Friends of the Sutter County Library. She was a leader of St. Andrew travel club, an elder at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, chairwoman of the Daffodil Days Program and past president of the American Association of University Women.

She is survived by her husband, Edward F. Eden of Yuba City; children Andrew Eden of Santa Rosa and Karen Hennessey of Las Vegas; brother, Ray Carpenter, of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.




Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel, Yuba City.
