Shakespeare Festival features two comedies

“Much Ado About Nothing” and “As You Like It” are the alternating comedies at the eighth annual Sierra Shakespeare Festival, Aug. 27 through Sept. 19, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds’ Fred Forsman Amphitheatre.

Presented by Foothill Theatre Company, the plays will be presented Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 4:30 p.m.

“Much Ado About Nothing” will be Aug. 27, Aug. 29, Sept. 2, Sept. 4, Sept. 10, Sept. 12, Sept. 16 and Sept. 18.



“As You Like It” will be on Aug. 28, Sept. 3, Sept. 5, Sept. 9, Sept. 11, Sept. 17 and Sept. 19.

Admission is $19 Thursdays and Sundays and $23 Fridays and Saturdays. Discounts are available for seniors, children 12 and under, students and groups of at least 10.
