Serendipity to perform Saturday

The 30-member Serendipity Choir sings its first concert in Grass Valley Saturday (7 p.m.) at Unity in the Gold Country Church, corner Cambridge Court and Whispering Pines Lane.

For the past 16 years, Serendipity Choir has been singing at churches, such as Unity and Religious Science, from San Francisco to Monterey.

Saturday night’s eclectic program, which costs $15, is presented in two 50-minute segments and includes inspirational music, a touch of country, some show tunes, a bit of gospel sound as well as a barbershop favorite or two.

“We’re an independent New Thought singing group,” says Ray Miailovich, director of the choir. “We sing because we enjoy it and have fun doing it.”

For more information contact or call (530) 274-2463.

Members of the choir will also sing for both Sunday morning services (9:30 and 11) of Sierra Center for Positive Living on Florence in Grass Valley. See for more information.
