Seniors, Uppal march on McClintock’s office over Medicare

Nearly 100 seniors, along with Congressional candidate Jack Uppal marched to Congressman Tom McClintock’s Granite Bay office Monday to complain about the lawmaker’s plan to do away with Medicare.

According to a news release, a proclamation left at McClintock’s office, which was closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day, demanded McClintock oppose the Ryan-Romney plan on Medicare.

Uppal, who is challenging McClintock in the 4th District race for Congress, participated in the march and rally and read a proclamation to the seniors.

“We, residents of the 4th Congressional District of California, demand that you represent our interests in Congress regarding Medicare,” Uppal read.
