Sees big picture

All those folks who live someplace else come to Nevada County to get away from the strip malls, cluster housing and stalled traffic to enjoy the shopping in Nevada City, go for hikes in Tahoe National Forest and swimming or paddling on the Yuba River. Tourism generates the economy of Nevada County, but if strip malls, cluster housing and stalled traffic replace the environs of this county, the tourists will drive away along with their dollars.

Many people who live here were once tourists that decided this was a good place to live because this area is relatively free of the problems of big cities and that there is breathing room. People will keep on coming because this is a beautiful county, and this is why those who sit on the board of supervisors need to be able to see the big picture.

My vote is going to Olivia Diaz because I believe she sees the big picture and understands that everyone will benefit from smart growth and that it will keep the county vibrant.
