Section champs to be commemorated on Crystal milk cartons

When local high school athletes begin competing for championships in the California Interscholastic Federation’s (CIF) Sac-Joaquin Section next month, they will be competing for a new unique honor in addition to the coveted section championship banners. Crystal Creamery has signed on as a sponsor with the Sac-Joaquin Section and, borrowing a page from Wheaties, will be featuring Section Champions on milk cartons to honor the success of student athletes in all sports beginning this fall.

Crystal Creamery will produce special commemorative milk cartons featuring Section champions for fall, winter and spring sports as well as provide nutritional information for athletes and explore fundraising opportunities with schools.

High school sports in California are governed by the CIF which is the organizer of the state championship competitions. The CIF divides the state into ten sections including the Sac-Joaquin Section which is the state’s second largest covering more than 14,000 square miles. The Sac-Joaquin Section is comprised of 196 high schools in 27 athletic leagues representing more than 225,000 student athletes.
