Scott Fowden

Memorial services for Scott Fowden will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cheyenne Alliance Church in Cheyenne, Wyo.

Mr. Fowden died Wednesday, June 23 in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was 45.

He was born Aug. 30, 1958, in Santa Cruz, to Wilbur and Jeanne Fowden. A 1976 graduate of St. Colleta’s School in Jefferson, Wis., Scott was a Wisconsin State Special Olympics champion, winning gold medals in swimming, track, baseball, basketball and bowling.

After moving to Wyoming in 1995, Scott sang in a Western Wyoming Community College choir and volunteered at the Salvation Army and the Veteran’s Center. He was a valued employee for six years at Taco Johns in Cheyenne, where he was proud to be named Employee of the Month.

He enjoyed music, sports, fishing, bowling, cars, traveling and watching the Green Bay Packers win. He was president of the CHAT Camera Club and active in the ARC.

He is survived by his mother Jeanne Fowden of Grass Valley; sisters, Barbara Kempken of Janesville, Wis., Molly Racowsky of Grass Valley, and Laurie Wachoski of Redding; brother, Mark Fowden of Cheyenne, Wyo.; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Cmdr. Wilbur Fowden.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
