“Big Day of Giving,” an annual 24-hour online giving challenge created to spotlight the Sacramento region’s nonprofits and help raise much-needed funds, is highlighting Scooter’s Pals for 24 hours — from midnight to midnight — on May 2. Donations to Scooter’s Pals will be matched (doubled) during this time. Scooter’s Pals pays no salaries and all donations go to their animals. Founded by Susan Wallace, Scooter’s Pals is committed to giving abandoned, neglected, abused and homeless dogs another chance at life. Matched donations can be made by visiting or calling 530-350-2099. For more information on Scooter’s Pals, visit
