School bus off road, no injuries reported

A school bus went off the road at the intersection of 174 and Brunswick at approximately 3 p.m. Monday, as wet, heavy snow made roadways treacherous.

Children were likely on board, but no injuries were reported, said a California Highway Patrol official.

CHP could only confirm the accident at this time, which may have been a spin-out or the result of a collision with another vehicle. Officers were on their way to the scene.

174 is reported as blocked on the CHP Web site.

Chain control is also in effect at Idaho-Maryland and Brunswick.
