Ruth Trice

Memorial services for Ruth Elizabeth Trice of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Bible church.

Mrs. Trice died Wednesday, Sept. 29, at home. She was 89.

She was born Dec. 3, 1914, in Nashville, Tenn., to Fred and Leila McCanless. She graduated from Balboa High School. She married George Trice on Sept. 4, 1936, in San Francisco. She worked as a manager/clerk for the Western Christian Book Store in Daly City for 26 years. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. She was a Bible teacher for 71 years.



She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Pat Trice of Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ron Roloff of Grass Valley; sister, Dorothy Sechini of San Francisco; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Trice, in 1976; and grandson, Joshua Roloff, in 1999.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
