Ruth Pohley

Memorial services for Ruth Alta (Davis) Pohley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grass Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 12889 Osborne Hill Road. She will be buried next to her husband in the Davis Family Plot in St. Helena.

Mrs. Pohley died Thursday, Dec. 26, in a private home-care facility in San Francisco. She was 82.



She married Edwin C. Pohley of Nevada City on Dec. 13, 1947, in the home of her aunt and uncle in Penn Valley. They made their home in Auburn for many years, where they both worked at De Witt State Hospital. They later transferred to Sonoma State Hospital when De Witt closed, and worked there until their retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Pohley.
