Ruth Milano

Visitation for family and friends of Ruth Irene Milano of Grass Valley will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Burial will take place at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mrs. Milano died Saturday, Aug. 28, in Grass Valley. She was 83.

She was born Jan. 18, 1922, in Beckley, W.V., to Joseph Cline and Mellisa Harrah. She married Frank Milano in 1942 in Beckley, W.V., and then Norman Hoel in 1978 in Covina. She was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Nevada County since 1978. She enjoyed her family.



She is survived by her son, Pietro J. Milano of North San Juan; son and daughter-in-law, Frank E. and Jean Milano of North San Juan; and granddaughter, Marianna Milano. She was preceded in death by her parents and second husband, Norman Noel, on Oct. 21, 1996.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
