RUSSELL SOUTER

Russell Souter died Aug. 9 in Grass Valley at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.

Mr. Souter was born March 12, 1916, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Clarence and Jeanne (MacBeth) Souter.



He married Elleanor Clark in 1940. He was employed as an electronics engineer for 20 years and was a Ham Radio Operator since 1933. His call letters were W6DJ. Ham Radio was the love of his life.

Mr. Souter is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elleanor of Alta Sierra; daughter, Margaret Urke and husband Al of Grass Valley; son, John Souter and daughter-in-law Susan of Hawaii; numerous nieces and nephews, including Craig Souter; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
