Run for the Animals Saturday in Nevada City

The third annual Run for the Animals, a 5K and 10K run/walk through beautiful downtown Nevada City, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the top of Broad Street. Owners must have their dogs on leash at all times during the event and registration begins.

The run put on by AnimalSave has a $20 entry fee which gives participants to a T-shirt or doggie bandanna and a chance for prizes. Proceeds benefit AnimalSave’s animal welfare services.

Participants may pick up an entry form at AnimalSave Thrift and Treasures, now at 520 East Main St., or at the Web site http://www.animalsave.org.
