Rotary Club donates books to library

The Union Staff49er Breakfast Rotary Club of Nevada City members Kelly Newell, chairperson, and Tom Dailey, immediate past president, present donated books to Mary Ann Trygg, interim county librarian, at the Madelyn Helling Library.

As part of its continuing service to the community, the 49er Breakfast Rotary Club of Nevada City donates books to the Madelyn Helling Library in honor of the club’s guest speakers. Bookplates are placed in each book, denoting the honoree.

To date, the club has given upwards of 70 books, which run the gamut from children’s, to young adult, to adult titles.

The 49er Breakfast Club is part of an international humanitarian service organization, Rotary International, and is made up of men and women who are local business and professional leaders.
