Rose Havens

Memorial services for Rose Havens of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley.



Mrs. Havens died Sunday, Feb. 10. She was 75.




She was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Reese and Mildred (Hice) Walden. She moved to the Bay Area in 1954, then to Grass Valley in 1987.

She worked for Sierra Water Systems as a secretary for 10 years. She was active with the Grass Valley Senior Center and was a member of the Grass Valley Moose Lodge. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.

Survivors include husband, Charles L. Havens; son, John R. Long; grandchildren Joy and Rose Long; great-grandchildren Haley and Danyel Colvert; and sister, Beverly Long.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
