Robert Weise

Robert Henry Weise died Feb. 16. He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at Grace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m.

Mr. Weise was born on July 16, 1937, in Evanston, Ill., to Dorothea Lawrentz Weise and Henry Gustav Weise. He served in the Air Force, where he worked on jet engines and on the fuels program for the Apollo space program. Before moving to Grass Valley, he resided in Capistrano Beach (Orange County), where he owned Ampra Paint Center in Dana Point. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at B & C True Value in the paint department.



Mr. Weise enjoyed gardening, woodworking and model trains.

Mr. Weise is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joanna Weise; daughters and sons-in-law Debra and Richard Lloyd of Elk Grove and Wendy Weise Cohon and Rabbi Samuel Cohon of Tucson, Ariz.; and grandchildren Justin, Michael and Daniel.




In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
