Robert Scharetg Jr.

Robert F. Scharetg Jr., 63, of Grass Valley died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

No services are planned.

Mr. Scharetg was born April 8, 1941, in San Francisco to Robert F. and Violet Scharetg. He attended Fresno State on a football scholarship. He married Jeanne Blair on Sept. 23, 1989, at Woodside Church. He was a pilot, police officer and the owner of a real estate firm in San Mateo. He enjoyed flying, reading, helping people, being a consultant and travel.



He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Scott-Scharetg of Grass Valley; sons Robb A. Scharetg of Arlington, Va., and Dane Scharetg of San Diego; stepsons Randy Scott of California and Kurt Scott of Grass Valley; sisters Sandra Newman of San Carlos and Sharon Wells of Georgia; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Scharetg Sr., and mothers Violet and Liz Scharetg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
