Robert Powers

Visitation for family and friends of Robert Allen Powers of Grass Valley will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Chapel of the Angels in Grass Valley.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church.



Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley.




Mr. Powers died Tuesday, April 16, in Folsom. He was 77.

He was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Chisholm, Minn., to William Powers and Mary Bell Fisher. He married Lillian on Sept. 3, 1992. He worked in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Program Analysis in Washington, D.C. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Powers of Grass Valley; brother, Don Powers of Walnut Creek; sister, Violet Kotyk of Chisholm; stepsons Jimmy Luke of Susanville, William Luke of Oroville and Jack Luke of Illinois; stepdaughters Shirley Wrightsman of Oroville and Bonnie Smith of Sacramento; 11 step-grandchildren and 10-step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lillian Powers or First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
