Robert Peterson

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday (April 11), at Unity in the Gold Country for Robert Jorgen Peterson of Nevada City. Mr. Peterson passed away on April 5 in Grass Valley. He was 80.

Mr. Peterson was born on Sept. 3, 1926, to Jorgen and Mildred Peterson in New York. He graduated from high school and served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard.

On April 3, 1948, he married Lorraine Joyce Norgren in Sacramento.



Mr. Peterson worked for Delta Airlines until retiring in 1988. His hobbies included fishing and reading.

Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Lorraine Peterson of Nevada City; son, Charlie Peterson of Folsom; daughter, Sherry Leabo of Underwood, Minn.; sister, Doris King of Texas; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jorgen Peterson; mother, Mildred Peterson; and brother, Kenny Peterson.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
