Robert “Bobby” Lee Ohrum died June 22 in Penn Valley. He was 58.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 27, at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. Andy Owens will officiate. A memorial will follow at Dew Drop Inn on Highway 49.

Mr. Ohrum was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Pennsylvania. He completed the 12th grade. He worked for the Nevada County Department of Transportation. He loved riding his Harley, was very good at playing pool, and anyone who knew him knows how he loved to tell jokes.

He is survived by his mother, Louise Ohrum of Penn Valley; brothers Carl Ohrum and his life partner Janet Romero of the town of Washington and Parker Ohrum and his life partner Beverly McGee of New Kingstown, Pa.; son, Robert R. Ohrum and his wife Amy; daughter, Jennifer Ohrum of California; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Leroy Ohrum and grandparents, Zelda and Don Heller.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
