Robert Hilf

Private services for Robert T. Hilf of Grass Valley have been conducted. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello.

Mr. Hilf died Thursday, Feb. 26, in Grass Valley. He was 76.

He was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Herman and Viola Hilf. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He enjoyed flying his home-built Stits Playmate airplane.



He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Grass Valley; daughters Viola Hilf of Auburn, Juanita Grass and Ramona Grogan, both of Grass Valley, Anna Widdowson of Westminster, Colo., and Susan Raber of Mountain, Idaho; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Bruning; and son Robert Hilf.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
