Robert Hearn

A celebration of life for Robert “Rob” Allen (Fleharty-Archer) Hearn of Grass Valley will be conducted at a later date for family and friends. Private internment will take place at the family plot in Meridian.

Mr. Hearn died Wednesday, Jan. 20, at home. He was 42.

He was born on June 25, 1963, at the Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio, San Francisco. Growing up he lived in Yokohama, Japan, Alameda, San Diego, Grass Valley and San Jose where he graduated from Valley Christian High School. As an adult he lived in San Jose, Grass Valley and Nevada City. He was an accomplished auto mechanic and had worked in the construction trades and most recently for Hansen Bros. Paving. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and various outdoor sports.



He is survived by his son, Robert “Robbie” Allen Hearn Jr.; ex-wife, Lisa; parents, Salli and John “Randy” Hearn; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Allen (Fleharty-Lions) Hearn; grandparents Ralph and Janis Fleharty, John and Pat Hearn and Royal and Billie Vanderbeek.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Encounter Ministers, Grass Valley or the charity of the donor’s choice.
