Robert Foley

Memorial services for Robert Foley, of Menlo Park will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Lucie Stern Community Center, 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

Mr. Foley died Friday, Oct. 18, after emergency surgery at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto. He was 68.



He was born in Sacramento to Doris Foley and Robert Mortimore Foley. He was raised in Nevada City. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from U. C. Berkeley and obtained two masters degrees from Stanford University. He was a principal in Portola Valley and later in Newark at Lincoln School and was a director of private schools.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Foley; children Dr. Paula Rubio and Dr. David Mayer; grandchildren Ben Rubio, Phoebe and Jarrod Mayer; and numerous cousins.




Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Foley Scholarship Fund, Lincoln School, 3611 Bettencourt St., Newark, CA 94560.

Arrangements are under the direction of Spangler Mortuaries.
