Robert Armstrong

A celebration of life for Robert D. Armstrong of Cedar Ridge will be from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at his home.

Mr. Armstrong died Thursday, Feb. 24, at home. He was 72.

He was born May 3, 1932, in Milroy, Pa., to Marvel and Grace Armstrong. He served in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He worked in construction, and worked on the Oroville Dam. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening and had award winning sunflowers and zucchini.



He is survived by his sisters Helen Ernest of Lewistown, Pa., Susan Hackenberger of Milroy, Pa., and Blanche Korman; and life partner, Thomas Jablonski of Cedar Ridge. He was preceded in death by his brothers William M. Armstrong and Joseph Armstrong.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
