Memorial services for Rita Scarlett of Nevada City will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the family home.

Mrs. Scarlett died Sunday, May 23, at home. She was 90.

She was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Riverbank to William Friedline and Florence Reaugh. She received an RN and a B.S. She married Richard Scarlett on April 6, 1942. She was a registered nurse. She was a member of Toastmasters and the Wellness Group. She enjoyed gardening and motherhood.

She is survived by her son, Bob Scarlett of Nevada City; daughters Yvonne Scarlett, Cynthia Scarlett and Tanya Scarlett, all of Nevada City; grandsons Phelan Evans of Sacramento, Sky Yugay of Davis, and Noah Scarlett Fulwider and Isaac Richard Fulwider, both of Nevada City; and great-grandson, Ayden Yugay of Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Scarlett, and daughter, Rebecca J. Scarlett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan J. Koman Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
