Richard Goff

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at Whispering Pines Church of God, for Richard “Dick” Goff. Mr. Goff passed away July 4, in Grass Valley. He was 85.

Mr. Goff was born Jan. 4, 1922 to Eva and Amos, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from high school and served in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Goff married Barbara B. Banks and then B. Alvena Butcher. He worked as a timber faller, at a sawmill and for Empire Mine. He was also a member of Whispering Pines Church of God and, in his free time, enjoyed fishing and hunting.



Mr. Goff is survived by his son, Richard A. Goff, of Antioch; daughters Carol J. Childers, of Eugene, Ore., and Victoria K. Scharman, of Sandy, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; and son, Ronald.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Whispering Pines Church of God building fund.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
